Thrissur: Singer Sachin Warrier got engaged to Thrissur native Pooja Pushparaj here on Tuesday. Pooja is a resident intern at Government Medical College, Thrissur. The simple function was attended by close relatives and friends.

Kumbalangi Nights fame Anna Ben, Anarkali Marikar, Vishak Nair, and Roshan Mathew attended the event.

Sachin became popular after his performance in 'Thattathin Marayathu' released in 2012. His songs 'Thattathin Marayathe penne' and 'Muthuchipi' from the film had topped music charts.

Sachin made his debut as a playback singer while in college in the 2010 flick 'Malarvaadi Arts Club.' He later took up an IT job at Tata Consultancy Services during which he sang for movies including Thattathin Marayathu, Neram, Left Right Left, Philips and the Monkey Pen, and Bangalore Days among many others.

Later, he quit his job to focus completely on music. He also started composing by this period. His debut single as an independent musician 'Naam' got released in 2015.
