K-pop has a dedicated fanbase in India, thanks to popular bands like BTS and BlackPink. Now, we hear that a Malayali girl Gauthami has made her dream debut in the recently started K-pop band named 'X: In'. Gauthami, who hails from Kerala and is also an actor, goes by the name Aria in the band.

The multi-national group under Escrow Entertainment, released their first album, 'Keeping the Fire' a few days ago. Roa, Chi.u, E.sha and Nova are the other members of the all-girl group.

In the song, Gauthami appears in a white dress with black borders. She has completed the outfit with matching shoes and socks. Her half up hairstyle also lends her a chic, sophisticated look. She also appears in a black dress towards the end of the video.

She had earlier been selected as a member of GBK Entertainment Group 'MEP-C', though she had to quit along with three other band members, due to undisclosed reasons. Her induction into the band was made official during the 44th K-stage yes or no event in Korea.

Gauthami has reportedly acted in the Malayalam film 'Melvilasom' directed by Soorya Krishnamoorthy as a child. The actor turned singer is known to be fluent in Korean, Malayalam, English and Hindi. With her induction into the group, Gauthami has become the second Indian and only Malayali to join a K-pop band. Odisha-born dancer and singer Shreya Lenka was the first Indian to join the K-pop band 'Black Swan', a few years ago.
