Who can forget Deepika Padukone’s mesmerising performance in the song Deewani Mastani from the movie ‘Bajirao Mastani'? Now, almost a decade after the film hit theatres, The Academy, which has been conducting the Oscar Awards annually, honoured Deepika Padukone, by sharing a clip of the song on their official Instagram handle. They also acknowledged celebrated singer Shreya Ghoshal and the director Sanjay Leela Bansali in the post.

Deepika has represented India in various international platforms and also presented the super hit song ‘Naatu Naatu’ from the movie ‘RRR’ onstage at the 95th Academy Awards. She is also the face of several international brands.
Meanwhile, Deepika’s Bajirao Mastani co-star and husband Ranveer Singh, reacted to The Academy’s rare honour for the actor. He commented ‘mesmeric’ under the post, which has now gone viral. ‘Bajirao Mastani’, which released in theatres in 2015 was a major commercial hit and stood out for its casting, music, art direction and filmmaking.
