Techie quits job, starts YouTube channel to feed orphans
Khwaja Moinudeen runs the YouTube channel 'Nawab's Kitchen: Food for all orphans'.

Few things can be as heart-breaking as the sight of starving children. Khwaja Moinudeen was leading a comfortable life as an IT professional, until a sight from the street changed his life forever: two children shooing off a street dog to grab some food leftovers!

Moinudeen, who always loved cooking, started to do cookery videos along with his friends. The heart-wrenching scene of the starving children prompted Moinudeen and his friends to go to orphanages with huge bowls of biriyani and mutton curry!

Today Moinudeen, having left his IT job, runs a YouTube channel of his cooking videos. The YouTube channel ‘Nawab's Kitchen: Food for all orphans’ channel already has more than 12 lakh subscribers. The title speaks for itself. At the start of every video, you will see Moinudeen in his white kurta and pyjama beginning his culinary session.

Far from his days in an air-conditioned office, Moinudeen now spends 12 to 13 hours sitting in the open, under the sun, to shoot his videos.

His sole aim is to fill the children’s stomachs with at least one full meal a day and put a smile on the young hungry faces.

Moinudeen's YouTube channel offers tasty recipes to the viewers, and all the food that is prepared goes to the orphanages. Moinudeen is helped in this noble venture by his friends. Together, they ensure the food reaches 1,200 children every month. This is made possible by posting at least two to three videos on the YouTube channel in a week.
