Women who don't indulge in make-up or cosmetic regimen regularly, get flummoxed if they have to get themselves decked up for an important ceremony or occasion all of a sudden. They might go berserk searching on the internet or calling up people who they know have some idea of make-up hacks. Here is a step-by-step procedure for carrying out simple and low-cost cosmetic rituals for such occasions.
Step 1: Cleansing, toning and moisturizing
Cleansing
For cleansing get good face wash according to your skin type. For instance, if you have oily skin choose a face wash that controls oil like Garnier oil.
Toning
Use rose water or Cetaphil Brightening Toner, or Pixi. There are various brands in the market. Choose wisely according to your budget. The above-mentioned brands are cheap and maintain quality.
Moisturizing
Again, choose according to your skin type. Gel-based moisturizers are good for long-lasting make-up.
Brand options
L’Oréal, neutregena , Lakme , colourbar, SPF, Truderma SPF50+ (this silicon-based sun protection cream is good for long lasting make-up)
Step 2: The use of primer
Matte finish primer is good for long-lasting make-up. If you prefer a dewy finish you can also try MAC Strobe Cream but remember to choose it according to your skin undertone
Step 3: Concealing and colour correction
If you have dark circles, blemishes or pimple marks you need to do the colour correction and concealing with the corrector palette. If you have a dark circle apply an orange shade all over it with the help of your fingers or a concealer brush, to make it neutral before coating them with foundation. Always apply very minimal products to get a flawless look and it should feel like your second skin.
Brand option
Nykaa concealer pallets are cheaper and the best options in the market. But if your budget is bigger, you can also choose MAC, smash box or Bobbi Brown
Step 4: Use of foundation
Dewy finish foundations are available in the market. Maybelline Stay matte 24hr foundation or Forever52 are reasonable foundations and always remember to take fewer measures of the products (one pump is enough to cover the entire face). Also, to match your neck and ears, you can use fingers or foundation brushes, or a beauty blender to blend the products. Blend it nicely, or else it will give patches once you start sweating.
Step 5: Baking
For a long-lasting effect of make-up go with dusting powder or loose powder for that budge-proof or 'baked' look. Apply under your eyes and nose area, T Zone Area and keep it for some time and after that dust it all over the face and neck with the powder brush.
Brand options
Maybelline, Forever52, Nykaa
Step 6: Use of contour and blushes
Use powder blushes and contours. It will be easy to use and you can also blend it fast. Contour and highlights are very important to create the face's shape and it will make your face more perfect in photos as well as in real. There are many pallets available in the market.
Brand options
LA Girl, Colorbar, Swiss Beauty and Morphe
Blushes:
After contouring apply blushes to highlight your cheekbones. If you have lean face blushes can help you to look flushy and healthy

Step 7: Applying highlighter
You can use highlighters to create a dewy effect in the matte finish make-up. Highlighter pallets are available.

Step 11: Make-up setting
