The internet is going gaga over the stunning wedding looks of star kid Malavika Jayaram who recently tied the knot with her long-term beau. She was impressive in her beautiful makeup and sartorial choices for the various rituals and functions in connection with her wedding. Malavika donned three unique looks on the same day of the wedding with a beautiful makeup highlighting her perfect features.
Interestingly, all her looks have been garnering praise on social media. It was celebrity makeup artist Vikas VKS who turned Malavika into a beautiful bride on her big day. In a special chat with Manorama Online, Vikas decodes Malavika’s wedding looks.
Most people think that Malavika had used minimal makeup on her skin as her skin looked naturally radiant. However, Vikas reveals that Malavika had, in fact, worn skin-visible makeup on her wedding day. “Skin-visible makeup is the latest trend. It makes the skin appear naturally glowing. Even the eye makeup is blended perfectly to make it look natural. This was the perfect method to blend the makeup well with the skin,” says Vikas.
Malavika wanted to don a traditional avatar for the main wedding ceremony. Vikas says that she had clear ideas about the looks that she wanted. For the wedding ceremony, a traditional madisar style saree draping was chosen. Usually, the makeup and hairstyle would be quite heavy to match this Tamil draping style.
However, Malavika wanted everything to be simple and elegant. “For the madisar look, her real hair was braided. We didn’t want everything to look heavy or overwhelming. The lipstick shade too wasn’t bright. Usually, the traditional madisar draping would make the bride look a bit bulky. But, I didn’t want her to look bulky as it was a celebrity wedding. So, the madisar was draped in a way, which hugged her figure. It was Bincy who draped Malavika,” notes Vikas.
All the looks were well-planned months before the wedding. In fact, Vikas reached her house in Chennai a few days before the event, for a makeup and hairstyle trail. Vikas says that everyone in her house really liked the looks that were created for trial. “Jayaram chettan was so impressed with Malavika’s makeup that he said she looked incredible. He said the same on the wedding day too. He appreciated me again when I reached the venue to click pictures with the bride and groom. I was really happy,” Vikas can’t hide his excitement.
Meanwhile, the recent reception look too has been garnering great comments from the netizens. Malavika looked regal in a navy blue lehenga with heavy golden embellishment. The same design works could be seen on the sheer dupatta too. For this event, Malavika donned a North Indian bridal look.
She accessorized the look with heavy choker and a layered neck chain in white pearls. Meanwhile, Vikas ensured that the makeup remained simple and elegant. Malavika’s groom Navaneeth matched her in a blue sherwani. His outfit too featured heavy embroidery works and intricate detailing.
