Anil and Anee, a doctor couple, is proud that their brand new luxury house has become a striking landmark in Kakkanad, Ernakulam, Kerala, within just three months after celebrating the housewarming ceremony. The family wanted their dream dwelling to be built closer to the city yet surrounded by serene natural beauty. They were not ready to compromise on the modern and luxurious facilities as well.
Architect Albin Paul of B Studio, Kakkanad has designed this scintillating house keeping in mind the interests and preferences of the family members. The beautiful landscaping done on the plot, which spreads in two levels, is what highlights the majestic look of the house. The exteriors and the charming landscape amazingly complement each other. Beautiful kadappa stones are paved on the drive way. Trees, plants and lush green meadows complete the well maintained landscape.
The spaces in the house are designed in elongated shapes taking advantage of the long plot which lies in two levels. The slanting roof adds to the regal aspect of this house which emanates the charm of contemporary style. It is the unique roofing tiles imported from Portugal that gives the exteriors a luxurious and majestic look. The interiors are designed in such a way that the spaces are always filled with lots of natural light and refreshingly cool breeze. Sliding glass doors and windows, sans the rows of grille, are stunning features which lend a classy look to the interiors. Rolling shutters are installed to ensure extra safety.
The incredibly spacious house built in 7500 sq ft boasts of unique features and facilities like formal and family living areas, dining hall, five bedrooms, a working kitchen and a pantry kitchen, work area, library, home theater, gym and party areas as well.
