Giressh Sett’s family has been doing gold business for generations in the Uduppi district in Karnataka. He was very particular that his brand new house should project the dignity and the unique traditions of his family. It was his wish for a majestic abode which led him to the Darvish Architects who are known for designing quite a few luxury houses that are notable for their chic designs.

This majestic mansion flaunts the classy features of the colonial architectural style. The pillars in double height, open terrace, slanted roof paved with shingles and the dormer windows are all features which highlight the colonial elegance. Though this leading business family sells the yellow metal, they are self confessed admirers of the pristine white. So, they were sure that their dream dwelling should don the charmingly beautiful white hue, both in the exteriors and the interiors. The dreamy interiors are designed in white PU paint finish. The paneling, curios and the ceiling are all done in white.

The pillars and roof in double height makes the hall look unbelievably vast and spacious, like a huge play ground. There is a car porch, sit-out, formal and family living areas, dining hall, pantry and working kitchens, four bedrooms, pooja space, home theater and gym space in this mega house.

The grandeur of the Italian marble paved on the floor in the main areas enhances the classy charm of the interiors. Meanwhile, wooden flooring is done in the bedrooms and vitrified tiles are used in some parts in the upper storey. The interiors, designed on the theme of minimalism, aren’t overcrowded with furniture or other decors.
