The courtyard paved with artificial grass and shiny pebbles adds a hint of greenery that strikes a perfect contrast with the white theme.

Nishad, a native of Manjeri in Kerala is thrilled to talk about his brand new house that has already become the talk of the town for its classy elegance and serene white colour. He had decided to build a house that suits the requirements of a three-member family and had also allotted Rs 42 lakh as the budget. The family didn’t want to cut down any coconut trees that stood in the 10 cents plot to make space for the structure.

They wanted the interiors to be spacious, with abundant supply of sunshine and fresh air. The exteriors are designed in the box shape to save space. The family members loved white colour and wanted their dream dwelling to look impeccable and mesmerizing, donning the serene hue.

This charming house, in 1800 sq ft, has a car porch, sit-out, formal and family living areas, dining space, kitchen with an adjacent work area and four bedrooms. The car porch is built beside the sit-out by paving toughened glass on GI frames. The interiors are designed in the open style, without building unnecessary walls that separate the spaces.

Besides, the living and the dining areas, built in double height, make the spaces look incredibly vast and spacious. Vitrified tiles, in pristine white, are paved on the floor. This also helps the interiors look spacious.

The partitions between the living and the dining areas and the TV unit are all done in the plywood – veneer finish. This goes well with the general colour theme of the house as well. An entire wall has been lined with windows to make sure that lot of bright sun light and cool breeze enters the house.

The formal living area is arranged beside the stair area, with a courtyard just below it. This courtyard paved with artificial grass and shiny pebbles adds a hint of greenery that strikes a perfect contrast with the white theme. The handrails of the stairway are done in the classic combination of wood and toughened glass.

The unique design of the dining table is quite eye-catching. The table, based on the concept of bench and desk, is custom-made in plywood. Similar design is repeated on the breakfast table in the kitchen as well. The kitchen cupboards are made in multi-wood and nano white is paved on the counter top.

The bedrooms are bath-attached and are designed with all the required facilities. The cots in the rooms have in – built storage facilities. An entire wall has been lined with windows which illuminates the rooms with natural light.

Baby mettle is paved on the front yard, besides maintaining a lush green garden and tall coconut trees. The construction of the structure was completed on a budget of Rs 33 lakh and an additional Rs 6 lakhs was spend for designing the interiors. Nishad is proud and happy that he could build his dream abode well within the estimated budget, that too by saving a decent amount of Rs 3 lakh.
