Hameed and his family, who are settled abroad, had built their dream abode at his home town in Manjeri in Malappuram, Kerala. Though this house, from the outside, looks like a mansion that has been built on a huge piece of land, it actually stands on a 12 cents plot.

The house that has four bedrooms is designed in less than 2000 sq ft area. It is the smart design features on the elevation that makes this house look extremely huge and majestic. The family wanted the house to feature a stylish curved roof. This, paved with shingles, instantly draws attention. The car porch, meanwhile, is built in GI and toughened glass finish.

The structure is built on this rectangular plot by leaving enough space for a front yard. Natural stone and grass are paved in alternate layers to decorate the front yard. Lots of shading trees find place in the landscape as well.

A car porch, sit-out, formal and family living areas, dining space, kitchen with an adjacent work area and four bedrooms are arranged in this beautiful house. The interiors are designed in the semi open style with minimal features, as the family stays in this house only when they are in Kerala for the holidays. The family living area and the dining space are part of the spacious hall. The dining area, arranged beneath the stairway, is a fine example of smart space management.

A huge portion of the electricity that is required to run the house is generated by the solar panels that are installed on the terrace. This way, the family has shown their commitment to environmental protection by turning to clean and renewable energy recourses.
