Sabir’s brand new house at Koottilangadi in Malappuram, Kerala, proudly flaunts the majestic charm of the colonial architecture. Earlier, a small house had stood in its place. Later, when the family’s living conditions improved, the owner built a new and luxurious mansion that suits their lifestyle.

The house stands elegantly on a spacious 45 cents land. The structure is built by leaving lots of space in front. The front yard is extremely spacious, and this gives a chance to enjoy the majestic beauty of the exteriors in all its glory. The front yard is decorated by paving natural stones and grass in alternate layers. The serene charm of the white hue is mostly seen in the exteriors and in the interiors as well. Meanwhile, shingles are paved on the roof. Interestingly, two car porches have been built as part of the structure. A swimming pool too is built over one of these porches.

The fabulous mansion that sprawls in 5800 sq ft has two car porches, sit-out, formal and family living areas, dining space, kitchen with work area, six bedrooms, upper living area and balcony as well.

A wall in the formal living area is enhanced with beautiful paneling where the TV unit has been installed. An ‘L’ shaped couch is what adorns the family living area. The walls here are decorated with attractive wall papers. The family was interested in experimenting with flooring details and it truly has paid off. A perfect blend of Italian marble, tiles and granite have been used for flooring in this splendid mansion. Meanwhile, the furnishing is done in plywood and veneer finish.

The dining table has bench on one side. The wall paneling that extends to the ceiling is the highlight here.

The kitchen cabinets are made in marine and plywood finish. The countertop has been paved with granite. Besides, a quaint breakfast table too is arranged in the kitchen.

The bedrooms boast of all the luxurious facilities. Each room is designed in unique themes. The bath attached bedrooms have wardrobes and separate dressing spaces as well. Meanwhile, the headboards are decorated with wall papers and claddings. The gypsum false ceiling and the perfect light fittings make the bedrooms extremely beautiful and cozy.

A sitting space has been arranged in the landscape. This grand mansion dazzles against the twilight sky when the spot lights on the exterior walls are switched on.
