Greenery makes this Cherthala mansion a haven of tranquillity

The elevation looks as if two ‘L’ shaped structures have been blended in the middle.

Jomon Joseph and his family are thrilled to show around their dream abode at Cherthala in Kerala that stands regally on 62 cents land. The fabulous greenery, beautiful pond and the swimming pool perfectly complements the exotic look of the elevation. Interestingly, the structure is placed to the end of the incredibly huge plot. So, huge windows and glass openings have been installed to grab the stunning view of the yard from inside. The elevation looks as if two ‘L’ shaped structures have been blended in the middle. Meanwhile, the interior spaces are spread in two blocks

The open spaces make the interiors look vaster. The furniture and other décor exude the classy elegance of minimalism. Just like the amazing foliage outside, the family has tried to bring a hint of greenery into the house too.

The timber for the furnishings was secured from a yard where old boats are dismantled. The flooring and cladding works are done using exquisite kota stones, Bali stones and lime stones. The wooden louveres and glass openings bring in the mesmerizing views of the front yard and cool breeze too.

The open dining area and the modular kitchen have been designed as per the wishes of the family. Meanwhile, the cabinets are done in plywood with laminate finish. The counter top has been paved with granite.

There is one bedroom in the ground floor while three are in the upper floor. Photo walls and beautiful paintings adorn the rooms of this house.

Beautifully designed spaces, splendid air circulation and greenery fill the house with positive vibes. The guests too are impressed by the impeccable ambience of this mansion.
