Sajan Mani’s brand new house at the picturesque countryside of Karimkunnam in Thodupuzha, Kerala, is an architectural haven where classy designs join hands with modern amenities and comfortable spaces.
The structure stands against mesmerizing nature that adds an enchanting aura to the premises. The family desired a single storey house as they believe that it would nourish the special relation between them. Interestingly, the structure spreads like the beautiful branches of a majestic tree. The slanting roof gives a touch of traditional grace to the elevation. High quality roofing tiles have been used to grant that classy look to the roofing works. The interior spaces that are designed in the open style are in perfect harmony with each other.
The house has been designed into private and public areas. Living areas that stand out for its elegant furnishing are arranged as part of the public spaces. Meanwhile, the bedrooms and kitchen have been included in the private zone. Interestingly, each area has been amazingly connected with corridors.
The main structure has a car porch, sit outs, formal and family living areas, dining space, kitchen with an adjacent work area and four bedrooms. Besides these, there are rooms and special areas for servants too.
The charming landscape has enough spaces from where the serene beauty of the nature could be enjoyed. Besides the spacious front sit out, there are sit outs in the back side and close to the family living area too. So, the fabulous views of surrounding nature could be enjoyed from three sides of the structure. The grand elegance of Italian marble flooring is a highlight here. Meanwhile, the wooden ceiling exudes classy vibes too.
The custom made furniture pieces are elegant and perfectly match the vibrant theme of the interiors. Italian marble has been paved on the floor in the common areas. Meanwhile, wooden flooring too has been used at some places.
The entrance door opens to a spacious formal living area that is furnished elegantly. Wooden flooring is what separates this area from the rest of the house. A wall here is highlighted with chic stone cladding. Meanwhile, there is a huge glass window on the other side which brings ample amount of sun shine into the house.
The family living area is the liveliest spot in the house. The prayer area and a TV unit have been arranged here. A wall, meanwhile, has been turned into a photo wall. Indoor plants add a hint of greenery to break the monotony of the lighter hues.
The bedrooms are vaster and are space efficient too. All the rooms have attached bathrooms, wardrobes, dressing spaces and TV units too.
There was a natural pond in the plot which the family wished to retain. However, it has been given a modern makeover and is now used as a swimming pool. The structure is designed in such a way that it allows the family members to enjoy the splendid sight of this pond from inside the house.
