Nasar, an expatriate is thrilled to show around his brand new house at his hometown in Kottakal in Malappuram, Kerala. The family wanted a spacious and contemporary dwelling that has six bedrooms. Interestingly, the structure has been built by retaining the tall coconut trees that stand on the front and on either side of the plot.
The slanted roof perfectly suits the tropical climate of Kerala. The fusion-style elevation is chic and exudes elegance too. Meanwhile, shingles have been paved on the roof. The brick cladding on the double-height wall in the sit-out is the highlight here.
Designed in 2800 sqft, this amazing abode has a sit-out, formal and family living areas, dining space, kitchen with a work area, six bedrooms, an upper hall and balcony.
The interiors are designed in a semi-open style. However, each space has been arranged in a way that allows enough privacy too. The entrance door opens to the spacious hall. The spaces, meanwhile, are arranged on both sides of this vast hall. A TV wall has been separated in the living area by highlighting with plywood paneling.
The false ceiling in veneer and gypsum finish and the matching LED light fittings grant a mesmerizing ambience to the interiors. The custom-made furniture matches the general theme of the house. The majestic charm of the Italian marble elevates the grand look of the common areas. Meanwhile, 2 x 2 vitrified tiles in matte finish have been used for flooring in the rest of the areas.
The hot air is pushed out when the glass windows beside the dining area is opened. Moreover, it ensures amazing ventilation inside the house.
The stairway features a classy transparent design. The hand railings are done in the classic combination of wood and glass. Besides the main balcony in the front, there are separate balconies for two bedrooms too. One could enjoy the spectacular views of nature outside from these balconies.
Four bedrooms are fully furnished with walk-in wardrobes, attached bathrooms and separate sitting spaces. The head side walls have been decorated with attractive wallpapers.
The kitchen has been furnished in a grey color theme which is extremely elegant. Meanwhile, the cabinets are done in marine plywood with an acrylic finish. The countertop has been paved with leather finished granite. The family is happy that their brand new house is exactly like they had dreamed.
