Make use of social media and other updated public forums to send your updated address to people close to you. For official purposes as well, give your new address. Also, update your gas delivery about your new address.

» Check for leakage: One of the main mistakes we make when we shift to a new home is to overlook the leakages in the house. That’s why we are advised to shift to a new home during the rainy season. A leaky home can make your life miserable during the rains.

» Change the toilet seats: It is important to change the used and old toilet seats once you shift to a new place. It will hardly cost much. Otherwise, it can lead to health issues.

» Draining checking: Don’t hesitate to check the draining system of your new home. Very often such issues get our attention only after we start living in the new place. Also, check if the area is waterlogged or not.
