Malayala Manorama ‘Parpidam’ exhibition begins at Kaloor international stadium

Kochi: Malayala Manorama ‘Parpidam’ exhibition that showcases the latest trends in construction, furnishing and interior designing under the same roof has begun at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kaloor. The exhibition was inaugurated by Cochin Corporation Mayor M Anil Kumar. Sponsored jointly by Lensfed and Hawaii Store, ‘Parpidam’ wraps up on 19 February. Entry is free and is open from 10 am to 7.30 pm.

Notable brands from Kerala and outside the state have stalls at the exhibition. Stalls of house, villa and apartment projects of prominent builders in the country, construction materials, elevators, stainless steel water tanks, UPVC windows, doors, roofing, interior decorators, furniture sellers, glass models, solar products, interlocking bricks, water purifier, gate automation, locks, electrical and electronic items, kitchenware, eco-friendly products and many other products and services are part of the exhibition. Besides, banks and other financial enterprises too have opened stalls to offer loans.

Lensfed state secretary Jithin Sudhakaran, Hawaii Store CEO MA Shahid and Malayala Manorama marketing manager Shabin Elias spoke at the inaugural event. Seminars and interactive sessions led by experts about the important factors to be noted during house construction, latest construction techniques and various styles of house construction have been scheduled.

Today’s seminars
The seminar on ‘Home Interior: Modern trends and Precautions’ conducted by Dr. Aashiq Mamu at 3.30 pm was today's highlight. The second session is at 6 pm and discusses ‘Vastusastra and Homes’ by Kanippayyoor Krishnan Namboothiripad. Meanwhile, the seminar on ‘Mullaperiyar Dam: Threats, Challenges and Solutions’ would be conducted by Lensfed.
