Onmanorama Homestyle had earlier featured the biggest mansion in Idukki district, making the house instantly viral on social media. Meanwhile, the mega house complex built by noted food brand Ajmi, at Irattupetta in Kottayam, Kerala will leave you speechless. The magnificent mansion that sprawls in 50,000 sqft, comprises three palatial houses that are grand and luxurious.

This house complex is the symbol of the spectacular success of Abdul Khader, the founder of Ajmi Group and his three sons. Three palatial homes have been built in the same compound as per the wishes of Khader’s eldest son Faisal, second son Afsal and youngest son Rashid. Khader began his business by opening a humble provision store in Irattupetta before he moved to selling puttu powder around three decades ago. Now, it has grown into a fabulous brand called Ajmi that has made its presence beyond Kerala and India. Ajmi is now a premium food product brand in the Gulf region too.

Surprises galore
Interestingly, each mansion spawls in 15,000 sqft and features exclusive Royal Arabian architectural style that isn’t quite seen in central Kerala. Even though the three mansions look similar from outside, the interiors are unique and have been designed to suit the likes and interests of the families.

The gigantic gate opens to the spacious landscape that is beautifully designed. The huge waterbody and fountain grant a luxurious charm to the landscape. These elements exude the classy vibes of a luxurious resort. Meanwhile, the main drive way separates to the three mansions here. The huge swimming pool that is thirty metres long and eight metres wide is the star of the common landscape.

Each mansion boasts of unique highlights and special designer elements. The master bedroom designed in 750 sqft is the highlight in Rashid’s house. It truly is remarkable that this bedroom is as big as a small house! Meanwhile, a glass bridge is what draws attention in Afsal’s mansion. The golden lift installed near the entrance door and the huge glass wall in the kitchen are the most attractive features in Faisal’s home.

Rashid Mansion
From the spacious car porch, you could enter the vast interiors that are elegantly furnished. Among the three houses, Rashid Mansion boasts of a greater number of spaces that have double height ceiling. The automation technology makes this mansion a smart home. The regal elegance of Italian marble flooring is impeccable. Meanwhile, the branded furniture pieces add to the luxurious look of the interiors.

The spiral staircase in the centre of the house easily draws attention. Meanwhile, the designer dining table can accommodate up to ten guests. The sizeable pantry area, close to the kitchen, is the ‘unofficial’ dining space in the house. Transparent cabinets, cylinder shaped hobs and many other interesting features make the kitchen modern and chic. The sitting area in the courtyard with open ceiling is the most beautiful spot in the house.

Afsal Mansion
This mansion is in the centre of the house complex. Opulent interiors that are amazingly furnished and spacious rooms are the chief highlights of this house. The living area has a double height ceiling, making the room look and feel incredibly spacious. The staircase is quite unique in this mansion too. Interestingly, some part of this staircase is designed in metal while the rest features concrete. Usually, dining and kitchen areas are designed as open spaces in modern homes. However, it is quite splendid how the family living area and the dining area have been designed adjacently here.

Faisal Mansion
The first mansion in the compound belongs to the eldest brother Faisal. As in all the other houses, this house too has luxurious interiors and opulent designer elements. However, compared to his brothers’ homes, you wouldn’t see too many double height spaces in this house. Here, spaces have been designed to ensure privacy. The dining area is the main focal point in this mansion.

Successful teamwork
Usually, there would be intervals between each stage of house construction. So, the construction labourers wouldn’t have employment on a regular basis. However, here, the construction of three mansions were completed simultaneously, giving jobs to hundreds of workers. More than 250 workers in various fields (like construction, furnishing, flooring, painting, landscaping etc) had worked continuously for two and half years to complete this project.

Meanwhile, the housewarming ceremony of these palatial mansion was a grand affair. More than 15,000 guests attended the house warming celebrations which has been touted as one of the biggest such events in South India. It should also be noted that businesses like construction materials, stage decorators and catering too got amazing opportunities and income, being part of the construction and housewarming of these mansions.

“There is no point in hoarding money. The billions that we had spent for our house reached thousands of people who work in the construction field. Their families too were happy seeing the income. Moreover, we even built houses for five poor families. We celebrated the housewarming ceremony of our houses only after those families moved into their homes.,” says Faisal.
