Arafa Villa, the three-storey grand mansion at Feroke in Kozhikode, Kerala has become the talk of the town for its sheer grandeur. The owner Sidique and his family were living in Chennai during the construction of their dream abode. He could visit the site only a few times before the construction was completed. So, the owner and the designers relied on social media and video calls to exchange ideas and opinions. The splendid mansion that sprawls in an area of 6500 sqft stands in an 11-cent plot.
Interestingly, the house has been entirely automated making it a smart and 'tech-efficient' home. The colour palette of the house complements the hues that are seen in the surrounding area. Meanwhile, the fabulously designed landscape adds to the overall grace of the elevation. Bangalore stones and cobblestone walkways add a chic vibe to the landscape. The fully automatic sliding gate is an interesting feature.
The luxury palatial abode has a car porch, sit-out, formal and family living area, dining space, prayer area, deck area, kitchen with a work area, utility space, bedrooms with attached bathrooms, balcony, majlis with a party hall and an elevator too. Besides, a security room too has been added to the left side of the house.
Black leather material has been used on the steps on the sit-out, giving them a sleek finish. You cannot miss the majestic staircase done in woodwork as soon as the entrance door is open. The formal and family living areas adorned with customised imported furniture pieces are arranged beside the entrance area.
The dining table can easily accommodate up to eight persons. The flooring done using exquisite Italian marble, imported directly from Rajasthan grants a regal charm to this area. From the dining area, you could enter the deck space, a cosy spot with a small fountain and sitting space.
The stainless-steel lift that can carry up to five persons has been installed without breaking the bank. Meanwhile, the gypsum false ceiling is enhanced with beautiful warm-toned lights.
There are two bedrooms on the ground floor and three on the upper floor. Four bedrooms are designed uniquely to suit the interests of the family members while one bedroom stands out for its traditional elegance.
The chic kitchen boasts of all the modern facilities. The cabinets are done in plywood with planilaque glass finish. Meanwhile, the Korean-topped counter area looks neat with a hint of shine. A work area and a utility space too have been arranged as part of the kitchen. A comfortable living area with a TV unit has been separated at the upper landing of the staircase.
The laundry area is at the stair area that leads to the second floor. The mega Majlisi and the party hall on this floor can accommodate up to fifty guests. A terrace area too is built adjacent to this space.
