'How to play cricket here' is one of the funny comments that the glass house in Bengaluru drew on social media. Leading media outlets and YouTubers, who flocked to capture the visuals of the house were enthused by the fact that it belonged to a Malayali. Thomas Abraham, an architect from Chengannur, has had no respite from visitors to his home, ever since the house went viral on social media.

He wanted the house to be a remarkable structure, something contemporary. That's how he decided to build it entirely of glass. The walls are made of glass panels set in a steel frame. Approximately 95 per cent of the building is glass, says Thomas.

It's a three-story house, 27 feet high. The ground floor has only a spacious formal living room, a family living room, and one bedroom. The second floor houses the dining area and two bedrooms. The third floor has only a piano room. Only the roofs of all three floors are made of concrete.

The surroundings are beautifully landscaped. The pathways are adorned with lawns. There's also a pond here. The open spaces are emphasized, giving a feeling of spaciousness. The staircase is another highlight of the house. It's shaped like a chromosome. The steps are made of pure white marble, and the railings are glass.

The bedrooms offer the most interesting sight. Beyond the two glass walls are lush flowers and creepers, creating the feel of a small forest. Since direct sunlight doesn't reach here, it remains cool. There's a small forest behind the house. Deer and peacocks often come here to graze. These sights can be enjoyed from inside the house itself, says Thomas
