Got an elephant story to tell? Gaja Yatra is ready to publish

Kozhikode: Writers across the globe are invited to write elephant stories for a contest, where the selected stories would be made into an anthology and published under Gaj Yatra.

The Gaj Yatra is one of the signature projects of Wildlife Trust of India (WTI), a nation-wide campaign launched in partnership with the ministry of environment, forest and climate change, International Fund for Animal Welfare and United Nations Environment.

The campaign, in the form of a road show covering all the elephant range states of India, is aimed at creating a better understanding of Asian elephant.

Anita Nair, acclaimed author of books like Satyr of the Subway and Eleven Other Stories, The Better Man, Malabar Mind, Puffin Book of World Myths and Legends is putting together an anthology of Elephant Stories for Gaj Yatra.
