Pets carnival of Kochi, Pawsome Party, concludes with pomp and glitz

Kochi: The two-day pets show that showcased a menagerie of pet animals concluded here on Sunday with pomp and mirth marked by cultural events and stage shows. The carnival, Pawsome Party, which began on February 25 at Sacred Heart, was held at Lake View Ground.

According to the organisers, the Pawsome Party aimed to widen the collective of animal lovers and to create awareness that pets too have a world of celebration.

A fashion show involving pet dogs, a police dog show and musical events led by noted singer Suraj Santhosh, among others were some of the major attractions.

Kochi's animal lovers heartily greeted Pawsome Party which turned out to be a wonderful package of pet shows, various games with pets, a gathering of pet owners, a pet fashion show, Yoga with pets, shopping, vaccination drive, seminars, one-on-one with producers of pet feeds, pet adoption among others.

The programme was inaugurated by Kochi city police commissioner K Sethuraman. Muthoot FinCorp Director, George Muthoot, Roms 'N' Raks owners Roney and Tarun, organisers of the event, Edu Entertainment's directors, Donna Denny and Aishwarya spoke on the occasion.

Pawsome Party was sponsored by Muthoot FinCorp in Association with Roms 'N' Raks, a pet store in Kochi.
