Kerala doctors' dance video goes viral on social media

Thiruvananthapuram: The video of 24 women doctors of the SK Hospital here swaying to the soothing tune of a popular Malayalam song to boost the morale of the frontline healthcare workers fighting the contagious coronavirus has gone viral on social media.

The video of the doctors dancing to the tune of the melodious song ‘Lokam muzhuvan sukham pakaranayi sneha deepame mizhi thrakoo’, has been viewed, forwarded and shared many times on various social media platforms.

The doctors, aged between 25 and 60, shot their respective portions at their homes and later they were edited and made into one dance video. The choreography was done by anaesthetist Dr Sharanya, who is also a dancer. The idea to do a dance video was first mooted by Dr Kukku, and the aim was to keep the spirits of the frontline healthcare workers up and convey the message that a healthy world was round the corner.

The doctors, who thought of just sharing the video among colleagues and classmates, are happy that their effort has caught the attention of public.
