Kerala Media Academy fellowships announced, 3 for Manorama

Kerala Media Academy has announced its media research fellowships for 2021-22.

Malayala Manorama leader writer K Harikrishnan and Mathrubhumi senior staff reporter K P Pravitha have been selected for the fellowships in the micro research category. They will be awarded Rs 1 lakh each. In general research category, V R Jyothish Kumar (Vanitha) and G Ragesh (Assistant Producer, Onmanorama) from the Malayala Manorama Group were selected for the fellowships. They will be awarded Rs 10,000 each.

Ragesh won the fellowship for the proposed research on the topic, "Climate change, Kerala and media: An investigation'.

The winners were selected by a jury comprising Thomas Jacob, Dr. Sebastian Paul, P K Rajasekharan, Dr Meena T Pillai and Dr Neethu Sona. Other winners are: Comprehensive research (Rs 75,000 each) -- Jisha Jayan (Deshabhimani), Ashwathi C (24 News), I Satish (Samakalika Malayalam), P K Manikandan (Mathrubhumi), P Subair (Madhyamam), M C Nihmath (Madhyamam), N P Sajeesh (Chalachitra Academy) and V Sreekumar (Spices Board). General research (Rs 10,000 each) -- S Anitha (Madhyamam), B Umesh (News18), Biju G Krishnan (Jeevan TV), KPM Riyas (Madhyamam), K P Vijesh (Asianet News), Leni Joseph (Deshabhimani), Remya Mukundan (Kerala Kaumudy), Anaz Aseen (Madhyamam), K R Anoop (Kairali News), Ashraf Thaivalappu (Chandrika), T Sooraj (Mathrubhumi), Nileena Atholi (Mathrubhumi Online), K H Hasna (freelance journalist) and P R Rajeswari (Ezhuthu Masika).
