Pathanamthitta: A tribal woman gave birth to a baby boy inside a jeep in the middle of a forest on Sunday. The woman, a resident of a tribal colony in nearby Avanippara, went into labour while en route to the government hospital, PTI reported. 

Local tribal officials and forest personnel reached the spot and arranged for an ambulance so the mother and son could reach Pathanamthitta General Hospital. Their condition is stable as of now, nurse Sajitha told media.
