Nadapuram: A three-member police team turned saviour for a two-year-old boy who was found wandering alone on the footpath near the Kakkamvelli curve on the Nadapuram-Vadakara Road.

The team was on its way to Kallachi from Purameri when Sibin, a Civil Police Officer (CPO) driving the Control Room vehicle of the Nadapuram police station, spotted the toddler moving along the roadside. Accompanied by no one, the child appeared visibly distressed.

Along with Sibin, the vehicle also had CPO Sajith Mulleri and Sub-Inspector Rajan, a native of Perambra, on board. As the police jeep halted, Sajith quickly stepped out and scooped the boy into his arms. Moments later, the boy’s anxious mother rushed to the scene. She explained that the child had strayed onto the road while chasing a butterfly.

After verifying her account, the police handed the boy safely back to his mother. By then, however, a photo of CPO Sajith carrying the toddler had already gone viral on social media.
