Agali: A cross-continental wedding took place at Agali when a groom from New Zealand tied the knot with a girl from Attappadi.

Anju Saji, daughter of Saji George and Mini Saji of Changarampillil House, Nellipathi, Agali, married Marc John Price from Auckland, New Zealand. The wedding ceremony was held at the EMS Town Hall, Agali.

Anju, who works as a microbiologist in Auckland, moved to New Zealand seven years ago to pursue her postgraduate studies. After completing her course, she secured a job there. Marc, who works as a marketing manager, met Anju through work and their friendship gradually blossomed into love and marriage.

Anju’s father, Saji George, is the zonal president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal. Marc’s father, Mike Price, is an electrical contractor in Auckland, while his mother, Linda, serves as a secretary in the local administration council. Marc’s mother and brother travelled to Kerala to attend the wedding.
