Kochi: The Mozilla Foundation, in association with IIT Kottayam, TinkerHub, and the CodoSapiens Foundation, will organise a one-day AI workshop in Kochi on Saturday. The workshop, titled ‘Responsible AI in Higher Education’, will be held at TinkerSpace in Kalamassery here at 9.30 am.

Faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students across disciplines are invited to attend and gain practical insights and best practices on responsible and effective use of AI in academic environments.

The workshop is being conducted as part of the India-AI Impact Summit 2026, to be held in New Delhi from February 19–20. Jibu Elias, India Lead at the Mozilla Foundation and a globally recognised expert in AI policy, safety, and global governance, will inaugurate the workshop. He will speak on the need for simple, field-tested frameworks that make responsible AI accessible in multilingual and resource-constrained classrooms.

Outputs from the workshop will be consolidated and shared with the Summit’s working groups to inform broader discussions on responsible AI adoption across India’s higher education landscape.
