Kerala's winless run in the Vijay Hazare Trophy continued following a 24-run defeat to Bengal in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Sayan Ghosh bagged a fifer as Kerala were bowled out for 182 after Bengal posted a modest total of 206/9.

Captain Salman Nizar top-scored with a patient 49. He held a 49-run stand for the fourth wicket with Mohammaed Azharuddeen (26), but Kerala ran out of partnerships, losing their third game in four matches in the event. One match was abandoned due to bad weather.

Guest players Jalaj Saxena (2) and Sarvate (14) failed to impress yet again, while Abdul Bazith, who hit a 90 against Delhi, was dismissed for a duck. Kerala are without star players Sanju Samson and Sachin Baby, who is injured. Kerala next play Tripura on January 3.
