Punjab's Prabhsimran smashes hat-trick of centuries in 50-over event

Punjab's Prabhsimran Singh has scored a hat-trick of centuries in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The 24-year-old opener hit a 105-ball 137 as Punjab posted a massive 426/4 against Hyderabad before winning by 81 runs in Ahmedabad on Friday.
Singh scored an unbeaten 150 and 125 against Mumbai and Saurashtra in successive matches in the event before today. He his 20 boundaries and three sixes against Hyderabad, and forged a 196-run opening stand with captain Abhishek Sharma (93).
Ramandeep Singh hit 80, while Anmolpreet Singh made 46 as Punjab posted their second 400-plus score this season after a 424 against Saurashtra in the previous match.
Hyderabad attempted a decent chase, with opener Nitesh Reddy scoring an 87-ball 111 and Tanay Thyagarajan making 74 from 42. For Punjab, Arshdeep Singh bagged 4/50 and Raghu Sharma claimed 3/68.
