Kochi: Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi and film producer Allu Aravind have bought the 20% share in Kerala Blasters that cricketer Sachin Tendulkar owned till his exit from the professional football club last week.

Hyderabad-based iQuest group, too, has a stake in the shares, according to sources in Kerala Blasters, which refuted speculations that corporate houses unrelated to the club had bought the scrips.

Tendulkar had been a co-owner of Kochi-based Kerala Blasters ever since its inception in 2014. Initially, he owned its 40% shares and then had cut it down to half. Today, Sachin is no more part of the Kerala Blasters management.

The management, though, maintained that Sachin will continue to be part of yellow-jersey team, hinting at the cricketer’s support to the Kerala Blaster’s sporting future.
