Super Cup: Sreenidi Deccan beat Kerala Blasters

Kozhikode: Sreenidi Deccan beat Kerala Blasters 2-0 in their Super Cup Group A match here on Wednesday.

Rilwan Hassan gave Deccan the lead in the 17th minute of the match at the EMS Stadium.

David Castaneda made it 2-0 in the 43rd minute.

Bengaluru FC scored a 2-0 win over RoundGlass Punjab FC 2-0 in the second match. Udanta Singh (66) and Javi (90+7) scored for the winners.

Deccan and Bengaluru are in joint top spot with four points from two matches and goal difference of +2. 

Blasters have three points from two games, while I-League champions Punjab have bowed out losing both their games.

Blasters need to beat Bengaluru in their final group match on Sunday (8.30 pm) and hope Deccan don't win against Punjab earlier in the day (5 pm) to progress to the semifinals. Only the group toppers advance to the semifinals.
