Two matches and two wins! This is the first time Kerala Blasters have won their first two matches in the history of the Indian Super League (ISL). Ahead of the match between Blasters and Jamshedpur FC, there were concerns over adverse weather conditions, but luckily, rain stayed away. The atmosphere was fantastic, but the match lacked fizz and fire as both teams played cautiously, showing no intent to make things happen.

As they played the 'waiting game' to gain an advantage over the opponent, Blasters and Jamshedpur made no serious efforts to break the deadlock, especially in the first half.

Notably, Blasters won the first two matches without key players like K P Rahul and Dimitrios Diamantakos. Head coach Ivan Vukomanovic was also absent due to suspension. The teams beaten by Blasters – Bengaluru FC and Jamshedpur FC – are formidable sides.

Blasters were able to kick off their campaign in the 10th edition on a positive note. Normally, teams would find it tough to find rhythm and consistency at the start of a season. By the time they get in the groove, they might lose some matches. Blasters are lucky that they have got their balance almost right. Now, they need to carry this momentum forward and make winning a habit.
