Kozhikode: Debutants Inter Kashi played out a thrilling 2-2 draw with two-time former champions Gokulam Kerala in their I-League opener at the EMS Corporation Stadium here on Saturday.

Alex Sanchez drew first blood for the Malabarians in the eighth minute.

Edmund Lalrindika drew level for Kashi in the 29th minute as the teams went into the half-time break on level terms.

Noufal P N regained the lead for Gokulam in the 54th minute.

However, Mohammed Asif Khan earned Kashi a point with a goal in the first minute of added time.

Gokulam next host Neroca FC on November 5 (Sunday).
