Prime Volleyball League final leg in Kochi from Friday

Kochi: The final leg of the Prime Volleyball League (PVL) second edition is set to begin in Kochi on Friday.

The tournament, which began on February 4, has already seen 20 exciting matches across Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

Calicut Heroes will take on Chennai Blitz in the opening match at the Regional Sports Centre (Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium), Kadavanthra. The match begins at 7 pm.

The league phase ends on March 2. The semifinals will be held on March 3 and March 4, with the final scheduled for March 5 (Sunday).

“This is the best volleyball that is happening in the country right now, and the kind of response that we have received from the spectators is a testament to that. We are eager to begin the Kochi leg to showcase to the fans here the level of competition that is happening in the country. We hope the fans turn up in large numbers to enjoy the league,” said PVL Chief Executive Officer Joy Bhattacharjya.

The PVL is telecast live on Sony Sports Ten 1 (English), Sony Sports Ten 3 (Hindi), Sony Sports Ten 4 (Tamil & Telugu) & Sony Sports Ten 2 (Malayalam) channels in India and being streamed live on Volleyball World TV outside the subcontinent.
