Wayanad woman selected to Indian team for Asian weightlifting championships

A Kerala woman has been selected to the Indian team for the Asian Junior and Youth Weightlifting Championships to be held in Delhi.

Wayanad native Anjana Sreejith will participate in the 81kg category (junior) at the championships to be held at Gautam Buddha University in Greater Noida between July 28 and August 5.

Anjana is the daughter of Sreejith and Kavitha. She studies at St Mary's College, Thrissur.

Anjana has been training under Sports Council coach Chithra Chandramohan at the weightlifting centre in Thrissur for the last seven years.
