Prime Volleyball League: Resilient Calicut Heroes beat Mumbai Meteors in Super 5 clash

The Calicut Heroes bounced back to beat Mumbai Meteors in their first match of Super 5s in the Prime Volleyball League in Chennai on Monday.

The Heroes lost the first set before winning 3-1 (13-15, 15-9, 15-7, 15-12).

Jerome Vinith and Iranian blocker Danial Moatazedi were the star performers for the Heroes with 8 points each.

Earlier, in the opening match of the Super 5s, Delhi Toofans defeated Bengaluru Torpedoes 3-0 (15-13, 18-16, 17-15).

Ahmedabad Defenders are the fifth side in the Super 5s. The team that finishes on top after the five teams play a round against each other will qualify to the final while the second and third placed sides will play an eliminator to become the other finalist.
