Assumption retain MG University women's basketball title

Hosts Assumption College, Changanassery, retained the MG University women's basketball title on Saturday.
In the final four-team round-robin league, Assumption defeated Alphonsa College, Pala, 49-36 after leading 29-17.
St Teresa's College edged Rajagiri College, Kalamassery, 48-41 in another final-round game to finish third. Akshaya Philip top scored with 19 points for Assumption in the final game.
