Kerala's campaign in the 39th Youth National Basketball Championship in Kolkata ended on Wednesday at the semifinal stage.

Kerala lost to neighbours Tamil Nadu, 62-73, in the girls' semifinals. The Kerala boys' side failed to reach the last-four. Arthika K scored a game-high 25 points for Kerala.

Karnataka defeated Maharashtra, 77-61, in the second semifinal, to set up the title clash with Tamil Nadu.

In the boys' category, Karnataka and Rajasthan entered the final after defeating Haryana (84-77) and Tamil Nadu (88-54), respectively.
