Hosts Alappuzha and Kozhikode clinched the girls' and boys' titles respectively in the 3rd Kids State Basketball Championship on Monday.

Alappuzha defeated Ernakulam 39-31, while Kozhikode drubbed Kottayam 56-23 in the finals. Keerthana Prasad top-scored with 15 points for Alappuzha, while Harinand P Nair and Ayush N S made 22 and 20 points respectively for Kozhikode.

Kottayam and Thiruvananthapuram took bronze in the girls and boys categories. Kottayam beat Kozhikode 39-32 in the girls' bronze-medal game, while Thiruvananthapuram got the better of Ernakulam, 38-21, in the boys' category.

Anna Elsa George of Alappuzha and Ayush N S of Kozhikode were declared the Best Players of the event. Keerthana Prasad of Alappuzha and Akshay Santosh of Kottayam took home the Promising Player awards.
