Thiruvananthapuram: It was a day of mixed fortunes for the under-17 junior basketball teams from Kozhikode and Thrissur at the 64th Kerala State School Games held at the Central Stadium Basketball Court on Sunday.

In the girls’ category final, Kozhikode emerged victorious over Thrissur with a 78-64 win to claim the gold medal. Vigha Lakshmi’s impressive 32-point haul helped Kozhikode seal victory, while Anna Rose’s 29 points were not enough to get Thrissur to catch up with their opponents.
