Haryana tennis player Radhika Yadav was allegedly shot dead by her father in Gurugram on Thursday.

According to the local police, the crime allegedly took place at the victim's house at Sushant Lok.

It is alleged that five bullets were fired and Radhika died on the spot. The cops told journalist that the father has been detained, though he hasn't yet said why he committed the crime.

"We are questioning the family members. A probe is underway and the picture will be clear soon," said Inspector Vinod Kumar, SHO of the Sector 56 police station.
