Grace Antony's love for serene destinations

Kochi is a ready answer most Kochiites give when they are asked about their most favourite place. Grace Antony, who shot to fame with a powerful dialogue in hit film 'Kumbalangi Nights,' is herself a Kochiite and she cannot agree more with them. Grace hails from Mulanthuruthy in Kochi. Her mother is from Manassery on the Fort Kochi-Chellanam route. Grace cannot get enough of Manassery.

The moment she gets some free time, she rushes to her mother's place. The front door of their house practically opens to the sea. For many Malayalis, the sea is a part of life with a lot of emotional connect and for Grace it is not different. She spends a lot of time by the seashore.

Grace does not like crowded and noisy places. Before going anywhere, she checks if that place can offer peace and tranquillity. She is a nature lover and likes to be in green surroundings, with the rivers and rivulets. Thus, for her it was a dream journey to Attappadi.

Grace can testify that when you get friendly with the people there, they take you to places rich in wild beauty few outsiders had seen. For the locals, there is nothing great about those places. But for the first timers like Grace these visits bring joyful experiences.

During a shoot, she had visited Kozhikode. Grace felt the people there were very friendly. Though she is not foodie, she does not mind experimenting with local cuisine. She had her first beef biriyani from Kozhikode and she was not averse to sampling some special dishes of the place.

As per Grace, Finland is one of the most peaceful places in the world. Finland is her dream destination. She loves the tranquillity that place offers. Finland is a Nordic country in northern part of Europe hugging the Arctic. It has only 1/7th of the population of Kerala and hence not crowded at all. Helsinki, the Finnish capital is known for its honest people. The air there is pure and the tap water everywhere is pure and drinkable. Finland has thousands of fresh water lakes. The landscape is filled with large meadows and gently sloping green hills. The Finns love nature and take great care to protect the greenery.

"For a peace loving person like me, which other place could be a better destination?" says Grace.
