Thousands of tourists flock Paris to see the world-famous Eiffel Tower every year. It is estimated that 25 crore people have visited the tower, which was built in 1889, until now. The tower, which was closed for more than a month due to COVID-19-triggered restrictions, was reopened for visitors in the last week of June.

There are restaurants on the first two floors of the tower and if you want to go up the structure, requisite tickets have to be purchased to enter special elevators. Tickets are also available to visit just the two floors of the tower. Ice skating facility is available on the first floor during winter and the top floor houses the champagne bar and from there one can get a bird's eye view of the entire Paris city.

Though Eiffel tower is a public building, there are curbs on photographing the illuminated tower at night. Though a photo of an illuminated Eiffel Tower is subject to copyright laws, there is no curb to photograph the tower during daytime.

Gustave Eiffel is the architect of Eiffel Tower and as per the French law, the work of a designer is protected during his or her lifetime plus an additional 70 years. As Eiffel died in 1923, the structure entered the public domain in 1993.
