The spellbinding entertainment centers of Sharjah are all decked up to give an artistic and cultural touch to the Ramadan nights. As part of the festivities, families and travellers can indulge in various fun activities and have sumptuous iftar dinner.

Besides iftar and Suhoor signatures, the tourist hubs such as Al Qasba, Al Majaz Waterfront, Al Heera Beach, Al Noor Island, Mleiha Archaeological Center and Khor Fakkan Beach, among others, will play host to music concerts, food festivals and other special Ramzan programmes.

Food festival and free heath check-up in Al Qasba
Gourmets can have a great time at Al Qasba as it is conducting a 10-day food festival from March 30 to April 8. The much-anticipated event will feature food-centric workshops, professional chef competitions and special roaming entertainment.

The festival, with the theme ‘A World of Flavours’, will flaunt modest outlets and street food pavilions that reflect different cultures. The who’s who of the culinary world will showcase their cooking skills at the professional chef arena, which is part of the food jamboree.

The festival will also feature competitions to choose the masters who can create magical designs on ice, fruits and chocolates. All visitors can also undergo a free health check-up at the festival.

Al Majaz Waterfront, Al Heera Beach, Khor Fakkan Beach and Al Montazah Park are conducting ‘Ramzan Nights’, which feature special exhibitions and programmes on weekends in a bid to woo tourists. The ‘Ramzan Nights’ on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 9pm to 11.45pm began on March 24 and will continue till April 9.

Live music concerts will be the highlight of these special nights. The night festivities at the Khor Fakkan Beach also include special fitness training workshops for the visitors.

Lip-smacking iftar dishes
The ‘Ramzan Star Lounge’ at Mleiha and the ‘iftar by the Bay’ at Al Noor Island are perfect spots for visitors to have mouth-watering iftar food. A unique experience awaits the visitors as they can relish delicious dishes and indulge in stargazing. The ‘iftar by the Bay’ on Al Noor Island is the perfect platform to enjoy the beautiful vistas of the Khalid Lake and the Sharjah City.

People who come to the island to break Ramadan fasting can roam around the island and savour its pristine beauty. Entry to the ‘Butterfly House’ is free and you can also watch the sky under the guidance of an expert. The ticket rates are AED 250 per person and AED 95 per child. The ‘Ramzan Star Lounge’ at the Mleiha Archaeological Center has special ‘majlis’ (sitting rooms) with decorative lights where one could break fasting. The iftar experience that starts from 6pm to midnight includes photos sessions with horses and free night sky watching. Time will fly for visitors as carrom and other board games will keep everyone engaged.
