Biggest tunnel aquarium in the world to be opened in Hyderabad

The world’s biggest aquamarine park (tunnel aquarium) would be opened at the Kothwalguda Eco Park in Hyderabad. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has invited proposals for this mega project. The aquamarine park envisaged in 427 acres would be the biggest in the country too.

As per the authorities, there would be more than one humungous tunnel tanks that could accommodate various species of marine animals including sharks. Besides, there would be exhibitions, panel displays, dome theatre, 7 D theatre, virtual aquarium and interactive kiosks for children.

The aqua park is likely to be sprawled in 250,000 square feet. Moreover, up to 2500 visitors can enter the park at the same time. The project is estimated to be completed on a budget of Rs 55 crore.

The park would also have the largest aviary in the country, butter fly park, viewing points, bird walk that is 2.5 kilometres long, adventure zone, sensory park, greenery landscape and suspension bridge that connects the sites on both sides of the outer ring road. The visitors could also stay in luxury resorts with infinity pools and visit convention centres, food courts and restaurants. Walkways that are five kilometres long and six meters wide too would be built.

At least fifty wooden cottages or luxury tents or both would be arranged in the eco park. These would have three star facilities as per the guidelines of the central government.

Adventure sports and activities that suit the geographical features of the area too would be arranged. Zip lining, archery, shooting, high rope courses, bungee jumping and rock climbing are likely to attract youngsters.
