How 'Lexie Limitless' became the youngest person to visit every country

Bitten with the travel bug? Looking for inspiration? Lexie Alford is the person to turn to!

According to The Guinness World Records, on October 4, 2019 Alexis Alford became the youngest person to travel to all sovereign countries. The 21-year-old most popularly known by her Instagram handle @lexielimitless hails from a small town in California, USA.

After completing high school and graduating from community college Lexi too was faced with the questions many of us have been asked at the young age of 18 "What next?" Coming from a family of travellers, Lexie decided to take away with her what she had learnt from travelling with her family and decided to embark on a solo trip.

With more than 70 countries already under her belt at the age of 18 Lexie realised she could break the World Record for the youngest person to have travelled the world in record time.

From Africa to Japan to Pakistan and finally North Korea, Lexie managed to travel to all 196 countries by 2019.

Being a third-generation travel agent, Lexie started saving up at the age of 12 and amassed enough money to fund her travels for almost a year. She also worked as a photographer and content writer while on the go.

Lexie wishes to inspire people to travel especially females who wish to travel solo. Her mission is to inspire others to choose the path less travelled by breaking down common misconceptions about the least visited countries in the world.

Lexie has a YouTube channel which documents her experiences and tips from travelling around the world.
