Pune: The Indian Railway will run two special Vande Bharat trains for cricket fans for the India - Pakistan World Cup match, scheduled at 2 pm on October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. As per reports, such an inter-city train scheduled for a sports event is a first in Western Railway's history. The details of the Mumbai - Ahmedabad trains will be announced soon. 

As per available reports, a fully air-conditioned Vande Bharat train will depart from Mumbai at 10 pm on October 13, and it will reach Ahmedabad by 6 am. Another will leave Mumbai early morning on the match day and reach Ahmedabad just in time for the match. The timetable and halts of the trains have not been released yet, though Surat, Vadodara, Anand and Bharuch are speculated to be some of the stops.
