Kerala's first 'Aashta special train' to Ayodhya will be flagged off from Kochuveli on Friday. The train service, which takes devotees from across India to the temple town, was announced last month. Though the service was expected to start in the last week of January, it was later announced that the service would be delayed by a week.

The railways had announced earlier that Aastha trains can't be booked from railway station counters or IRCTC apps, and the IRCTC tourism website is supposed to be used for the same. The railways planned to have 66 Aastha Specials services across the nation.
