Abu Dhabi/ Dubai: The demand for the multiple entry tourist visa that is valid for up to five years has been skyrocketing. Travel and tourism experts say that even though business persons or industrialists have been mostly using this visa, it is also secured by people who wish to bring their old parents, family members or children who are studying abroad to the UAE.

The multiple-entry tourist visa enables the visa holders to enter the UAE multiple times and remain in the country for 90 days. Besides, the visa could be extended for a further 90 days too. However, visa holders cannot stay in the UAE continuously for more than 180 days. But, they could stay for the same duration if they return after visiting another country.

To sponsor family members or parents on a resident visa, the applicant needs to possess a valid visa, Emirates ID, and medical and health insurance. Besides, this visa would be cancelled if the person stays outside the country for more than six months. However, such rules aren’t applicable for the multiple entry tourist visa.
