CIAL’s business jet terminal handles 1k jets in 14 months

Kochi: Kerala’s first business jet terminal at Cochin International Airport Ltd (CIAL) has reached a remarkable milestone of operating one thousand private jets. The terminal that exclusively handles private jets has completed its 1000th service yesterday. The achievement is in just fourteen months since it began operations. The 40,000 sqft jet terminal built at the second terminal in the Cochin International Airport is one of the biggest and luxurious jet terminals in the country. CIAL Managing Director S Suhas said that they hope to operate 1200 business jets at the terminal this year.

'Fly Elegantly'
A commuter can transfer from the aircraft door to their car in just two minutes at the terminal, which is used by corporate clients widely. It also has a separate customs and immigration counter. A boutique duty-free shop for international passengers, a foreign exchange counter, a high-end room for video conferencing, a business centre, a covered porch for private cars, five opulent lounges and a grand lobby are some of the other features of the terminal that has the tagline 'Fly Elegantly.'
